Who can take part?

add remove

Everyone can take part. This is a diverse and inclusive event and is perfect for all of your friends, family and colleagues to attend - you can even bring your dog.

The route is fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Can I bring my dog?

add remove

Absolutely - dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times during the event. Please make sure to pick up after your dog and use the bins provided.

Are the routes accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs?

add remove

Yes – the route will be fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs as it is a fully paved path.

What facilities are available on the day?

add remove

On the day there will be toilets, refreshments available to purchase, an accessible short route, information stand, first aid, warm up, and signed/marshalled routes (no need for a map!). Parking at the venue is limited - you can find more details on parking on the Battersea Park website here.

Will there be refreshments?

add remove

Yes, there will be a number of refreshments available for you to purchase on the day.

Our Walk to End Homelessness event is taking place in the beautiful Battersea Park so you are welcome to bring your own picnic along, but please make sure you take all rubbish with you when you leave the park.

We are trying to reduce our carbon footprint and limit plastic waste so we will not provide bottled water. Instead, we encourage all walkers to bring their own bottles from home, which you will be able to refill at the event.

Do I get a t-shirt?

add remove

Yes! You’ll receive a free Team Passage T-shirt which will arrive a month before the event takes place in October.

Will I get a medal?

add remove

Absolutely! This will be given to you after you have completed your walk.

Can I run the route instead?

add remove

Running is not advised as this is a walking event only. We encourage all attendees to be respectful and mindful of their fellow participants, so that everyone can have an enjoyable walk.

You can browse our running events at www.passage.org.uk/challenge-events

What happens if it's raining?

add remove

This event will be an outdoor, all weathers event, so please check the forecast and come prepared.

What if I don't hit the £75 target?

add remove

By taking part in this event and fundraising, you will help us to support people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We have asked you to try and reach the target of £75 so that you have something to aim for. We really appreciate your support and anything you raise will make a difference.

We understand that fundraising can be challenging. But we are here to help you every step of the way. We will provide you with lots of fundraising advice and support to help you reach, and hopefully exceed, your target.

Can we raise money as a team?

add remove

Certainly. If you are a group, you can work together to raise the minimum sponsorship per person. (i.e. group of 4 | 4 x £75 minimum = £300)

Can I volunteer to help at the event?

add remove

Yes! We’d be thrilled to have you on the team! We’re looking for help with setup, registration, marshalling and merchandise on the day, plus plenty more. Please email events@passage.org.uk if you would like to volunteer!
